this project sought to subvert narrative conventions of the shooter game genre in a satirical manner, swapping the typical executioner for the interior designer——shooter of paint, not bullets

the experience was gamified through the use of rhythm-based point-and-click mechanics, and the gameplay loop was created by repeating the point-and-click sequence until the player misses a target whilst speeding up the experience for difficulty

the introductory cutscene intends to lead the player to believe they will be engaging in a typical shooter game, so when they are likely surprised by the interior design thematic, they will have "jumped the gun"
